Pipeline Material Transportation Technology Exchange Forum Sharing

  On November 20, I represented the company at the 2024 Pipeline Transportation Technology Exchange Forum of the Logistics Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, giving a company and product introduction. Through two days of training, I learned a lot of knowledge about transportation beyond environmental protection, and also received guidance from many domestic and foreign experts in the logistics industry, which I will share with my colleagues.

  Let me first introduce this Society. The Logistics Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering is a professional academic organization directly under the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering. It is an academic mass organization for scientific and technological workers in China who are engaged in research, design, production, teaching, and application in the fields of logistics engineering and material handling. The main tasks of the Society are: to conduct domestic and international academic exchanges, promote the development and application of logistics engineering and material handling technology and equipment; to organize the release and exchange of information on domestic and international logistics technology, logistics management, logistics facilities, new products and new processes of material handling; its group members are distributed throughout the country, and they are the main force in the logistics engineering and material handling industry, including logistics engineering system integrators and material handling equipment manufacturers, end users, research institutes and universities, and enterprises engaged in the logistics industry.

  In addition to the more common new material conveying (positive and negative pressure of dilute phase) and grain conveying systems that we often encounter in the conveying industry, there are also automatic loading and unloading systems, fully automatic unpacking and feeding systems (petrochemicals, chemicals, plastics, pharmaceuticals, food, new materials, energy, daily chemicals, coatings, etc.), pipe chain conveying systems, unloading systems, and so on.

  Pneumatic conveying can generally be divided into dilute phase conveying and dense phase conveying. Dense phase conveying requires a smaller gas flow rate, while dilute phase conveying requires a larger gas flow rate to maintain the suspension of particles. Dense phase conveying is suitable for occasions requiring a lower gas flow rate, while dilute phase conveying is suitable for occasions requiring a higher gas flow rate. Dilute phase conveying is characterized by a lower volume ratio of solid particles to gas in the conveying pipeline, usually with a solid particle volume fraction of less than 50%, and is a technology suitable for conveying powdery materials. Dilute phase conveying mainly includes vacuum suction type and pressure type. Dense phase conveying is characterized by a higher volume ratio of solid particles to gas in the conveying pipeline, usually with a solid particle volume fraction greater than 50%, and is a technology for conveying powdery materials. Dense phase conveying uses high-pressure gas to convey materials, with a gas source pressure of up to 0.7 MPa, and the power is generally provided by a compressor. The conveying of lithium battery and other new energy materials that we often come into contact with belongs to negative pressure dilute phase.

 

 

  Pneumatic conveying system is a multi-phase flow comprehensive technology, involving fluid mechanics, materials science, automation technology, manufacturing technology and other fields. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, building materials, grain and other departments, and is a modern logistics system suitable for bulk material conveying. Many materials, such as synthetic resins and polyolefins in petrochemicals and chemicals, as well as the conveying of powders and granules, the transfer and storage and transportation links of cement, mineral powder, fly ash, coal powder, chemical fertilizers, and grains in ports, fully automatic weighing and batching systems, etc., all fall within the scope of pneumatic conveying. Its Applications are extensive, and we need to carefully discover them.

  Finally, I would like to share with all Baishid people the message from Professor Wang Shiwen of Tsinghua University on the environmental protection industry: Using traditional methods to reach a new shore is no longer possible. Even if the economy recovers, the traditional path will not open again, so don't cling to the past comfort zone. Let's work together, with a more open mind and a more positive attitude, to embrace the arrival of the era of change.
