P&G participates in the "5S Excellent Factory" selection activity on-site inspection

Early on December 19th, the company welcomed the Yixing Green and Low-Carbon Industry Association's "5S Excellent Factory" evaluation team. The team was led by senior experts including President Jiang Jiezhong of the Association and Factory Director Luo Yan (Factory Director of Kaiquan Hefei Factory), along with nearly 20 enterprise representatives who came to observe and learn.
The inspection first visited the workshops, including the rough machining workshop, precision machining workshop, energy-saving fan workshop, and three-coordinate measuring room, with company leaders accompanying and participating in discussions. The second stop was a spot check of the office area, followed by a 5S special report in the meeting room, which covered the key stages of Baiside's 5S management, the 5S process, and using an information platform to improve 5S management efficiency.
Finally, the experts commented on the inspection findings and provided constructive feedback and suggestions.
President Jiang Jiezhong mentioned that 5S work is not a one-step, all-at-once process, but rather a gradual one with ups and downs. Failures are opportunities to restart. It's a process of starting with the easy and moving to the difficult, potentially requiring four or five years of accumulation to achieve the goal. Blind or excessive management should be avoided; the best approach is what works for the company. Baiside Company has gone through this process, never giving up, and has achieved good results.
Factory Director Luo Yan also mentioned strengthening visual management: increasing the visual components such as signs, slogans, and effective kanban to enhance the company's image and culture. The "no-cost" improvement method often involves attention to detail; significant improvements can be achieved without substantial investment. Factory Director Luo Yan emphasized that 5S management is not merely a superficial task but a reflection of the company's actual productivity and management capabilities.
We appreciate the Association's "5S Excellent Factory" selection event. While we still have a distance to go before reaching excellence, this event served as a comprehensive assessment, providing professional supervision and encouragement. Baiside will learn from this experience, adapting it to our specific characteristics for continuous improvement to maximize the effectiveness of 5S management.
